Hotel Clark Ashtray Wall Art

The Hotel Clark, or the Clark Hotel, is located on 426 South Hill Street, near Pershing Square. This building is 11-stories and was built by Eli P. Clark, being completed in 1914. It started its life as a 555-room hotel but was later converted into a low-rent apartment building. Interestingly, it was purchased by the People's Republic of China in 1988 to be used as a Chinese cultural center. The current owner is the Chetrit Group and is being remodeled to be turned back into a luxury hotel since 2012.
