Camp Joy Ashtray Wall Art

Upon doing research on Camp Joy, we could not find any definite articles about the location other than similar listings for ashtrays and matchbooks. We found one great listing for a postcard with a wealth of information. Camp Joy was 2 miles east of Ottumwa, Iowa, near the US highways 34 and 63. A message from the owners of the camp reads, "OWNERS OF THIS CAMP... Welcome you to our modern cottages, good, clean, restful beds, at prices to suit everyone. Complete car service. Open 24 Hours Daily the Year Round / Cafe Service / Plenty of Shade for Trailers". While the photo may look out of focus, the printing of this ashtray was actually a bit blurry, but that did not stop us from sharing this unique part of Iowan history.
